What makes a unit ADA-accessible

• A larger ground-level footprint with room for a wheelchair to enter and turn
• A wide, low-threshold door with no step up
• Interior grab bars and a seat at accessible height
• Door hardware that can be operated without tight grasping or twisting
• Placement on firm, level ground with an accessible route from the event area

Placement is half of accessibility

A compliant unit at the far end of a gravel lot is not accessible in any way that matters. The unit needs a firm, stable, reasonably level route from the main activity area — packed surface or matting rather than loose gravel, sand or a slope. On rural White Mountains sites that usually decides the placement before anything else does.

We walk the ground with you at delivery when access is tight, because moving a unit later is harder than putting it in the right place the first time.

Events open to the public

Festivals, rodeos, races, community fundraisers and anything held on public property should include accessible units in the count from the start. Guidance generally treats accessible units as a proportion of the total order rather than a single token unit, so the number goes up as the bank grows. Tell us the total unit count and we will advise on the accessible share.

Job sites with accessibility requirements

Public-works projects and sites with an employee who needs an accessible unit are the common cases. It is a straightforward addition to the order, serviced on the same weekly schedule as the standard units.
